my name is ira gray, and i am a female to male transgender person. top surgery refers to a double mastectomy or breast removal. well, you're on a donation page, so it may be good to learn about me right.
i grew up in a really religious household and was kicked out repeatedly after i turned 18. i was caught kissing a girl the night before thanksgiving in 2009, and my biological parents disowned me, telling me i was never allowed back. i was 19 years old at the time, going to college full time, and had a minimum wage job. i was forced to drop out of school due to a sudden lack of resources. i was homeless for quite some time, bouncing from couch to couch. when i asked centers about shelter resources, i was forwarded to organizations that don't provide shelter resources. this is the first time since then that i can focus on getting my surgery done, going back to school, and getting back on my feet thanks to two people who,on my blog, i refer to as my pseudo-parents to preserve their anonymity.
needless to say, i am beyond grateful for those who have donated and have promoted this page. you have helped me so much. thank you for that.
